We then analyzed zip codes using the following metrics: Our Methodologyįirst, we took into account metro-level crime rates (top 33%) and pedestrian safety rankings (top 50%) to narrow our search down to metros that are generally safer for trick-or-treating. We then drilled down into those metros to see which areas and neighborhoods offer the best trick-or-treating experience. With these trick-or-treat rankings, we have improved upon existing methods by factoring in pedestrian safety and crime rate rankings for metro areas. In preparation for this yearly outing, we set out to find the top neighborhoods in America for trick-or-treating.
